New Beginning Interiors is an Interior Design, Décor and Project Management/renovations Company based in Johannesburg. Our primary focus is residential homes and the leisure market (Lodges & B&B’s), and have been involved in projects all over South Africa. We are dedicated to our clients needs both from an aesthetics design look and budget constraints. Each project is guided by relevant design, creative ideas, leading knowledge of industry offerings and hands on management to project completion. Our extensive experience and a keen eye for detail has resulted in NBI’s solid reputation built on integrity, clever design, and innovative ideas.
Interior Design
We strive to make interior spaces functional, safe, and beautiful by optimizing space requirements and latest trends. At NBI we are involved with carpentry, kitchen and bathroom designs, paint colors, lighting requirements, flooring finishes, interior details and materials to suit our clients spaces.
Interior Decorating
We strive to enhance the interiors of our client’s homes to achieve a happy and more aesthetically pleasing environment for the people using the space. We source all furnishings, fabrics, rugs, objects d’art and bespoke details. We custom make all window treatments, soft scatters and reupholster furniture to suit the desired look of each space. The scope of NBI projects can range from updating one room to an entire home.
Project Management
We are actively involved in project managing updates/renovation and new builds. Our Project Consultants professionally assist in every detail related to a homes finishes from flooring, lighting, painting, cabinetry, sanitary ware, windows/doors to mention but a few. We manage the entire process from choice selection to installation.

Kim Jonsson
Director
After completing a Bcom, Kim worked in the corporate world for 10 years, but her interest in the design world kept drawing her back to her true love of Interiors. In 1997, she followed her dream. Together with her then husband, they started renovating homes where Kim would manage the interiors and decorate the homes. Before long, she was helping clients with their interiors and managing renovations.
Kim started New Beginning Interiors post her divorce and has been involved in many high-end projects in the Northern suburbs of Johannesburg, Leopard Creek, Knysna, Hermanus, Guest Houses and Luxury Bush Camps in the Timbavati.
Kim has a natural talent and a genuine love of the industry and South Africa. She embraces uplifting her local community and contracts all her work out to individuals based in Soweto and Kosmos, and is actively involved with teaching her contractors new techniques and finishes in line with current trends.

Ingrid Siddle
Consultant – Decor
Ingrid has spent most of her adult life being surrounded by creative people, objects, ideas and thinking. Having spent 10 years in advertising she went onto another decade in recruiting and fashion designing and manufacturing as a hobby.
She has always had a passion for fabrics, interiors and design and working with Kim at NBI has afforded her the opportunity to make this real. Her research background draws on her ability to understand the clients individual needs and create a catalyst between their ideas and the finished project. Her attention to detail is paramount in every job. Similarly, Ingrid has an affinity and deep respect for all the contractors that contribute to each project. “I get very excited about enabling people to embrace their working or living space – I delight in a happy client…”
Sanet Nash
Consultant – Project Management
Sanet has always had a deep love for beautiful homes, and was actively involved in project manageing the build of her home in Bryanston. Post divorce, she bought a “fix me up” and managed the entire transformation of every detail in her new home.
With NB Projects, Sanet is primarily involved in project managing renovations, home updates and new builds from conception of plans to completion of all wetworks and home finishes.
Sanet has a keen eye for detail and continuously strives to find the best application for any finish. Close client interaction and her determination to achieve perfection are her key strengths.

I have been using New Beginning Interiors since I built our home in Fourways Gardens 7 years ago!
Kim managed the whole building project for me, from liaising with the builder, designing my kitchen and bathrooms, choosing tiles, sanitary wear, doors and all finishes. She then managed all the interior decorating. My home is just beautiful and still manages to take the breath away from people who visit!
I also approached Kim to move us into new office premises; we own a small advertising agency; she managed all the new furniture, layout and décor. Our offices have a great mix of creative but professional and classy.
I continue to use Kim for all my smaller revamp jobs along the way… no job is too big or too small for her to take on.

I worked with New Beginnings Interior in 2016 where Kim helped me furnish my entire beach house in Hermanus from scratch. She initially worked with the house plans to see what furniture would best fit into the house and then working with colour and our modern feel advised me on what we needed to custom make and what we could purchase. NBI also made all the soft finishes for the house including curtains, cushions, duvets, headboards and ottomans. We loved our finished product so much that we have made a permanent move. I have received so many compliments on our finishes and look forward to doing more projects with NBI.
